Rachita Prakash MD joined Kidney Associates of Colorado in 2017 after moving to Denver from the East Coast. She was previously practicing Nephrology in Northern Virginia and West Virginia and prior to that was in private practice in the Greater Pittsburgh area until 2013.

She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Robert Packer Hospital/Guthrie Clinic in Northern Pennsylvania where she was Chief Resident and was awarded the Stanley Conklin Award for research. She went on to train in Nephrology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center graduating in 2012. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Dr Prakash has a keen interest in evaluation and management of acute kidney failure, management of chronic kidney disease, diabetic kidney disease, management of hypertension with research in patient outcomes on peritoneal dialysis.

She currently lives in Denver with her husband and 2 young sons with whom she loves exploring the outdoors, crafting and swimming.
