Jack Rusing, MD joined Kidney Associates of Colorado in 2023 after completing his nephrology fellowship at the University of Colorado. He joined KAC for its shared practice philosophy of delivering exceptional evidence-based kidney care and an individualized treatment approach to its patients. His interest and joy in nephrology come from the longitudinal care of chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and dialysis patients. He believes optimal management of a chronic disease is centered on the holistic attention to a person’s mind, body, and spirit.

Dr. Rusing completed his medical doctorate from the University of Arizona and is board-certified in internal medicine. As a native Arizonian, his nephrology fellowship brought him to Colorado, but it was the beautiful Rocky Mountains that enticed his family to stay. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jestine and dog Zoie, hiking, mountain biking, and skiing.
